In celebration of National Poetry Month, submit your original poems for inclusion in the St. Louis County Library poetry compilation available in the eMedia collection of the Indie Author Project. From the collected poems, a judge from Saint Louis Poetry Center will determine a winner for each age group to be featured in the collection. Ages 7 and up.
In honor of this year’s St. Louis Literary Award recipient Jamaica Kincaid, we wanted you to share with us work you have created based on Jamaica Kincaid’s influential and enduring work, "Girl". We accepted submissions of fiction, creative nonfiction or memoir under 500 words for inclusion in our eMedia collection.
Celebrate and help promote the musical creativity of the St. Louis community with Listen Up STL which gives local musicians the opportunity to make their music available to a wider audience.
The Indie Author Project (IAP) allows local authors to upload their work for inclusion into the Indie Missouri collection, available to all participating Missouri libraries. Submissions will also be considered for the IAP Select collection. Titles chosen for the IAP Select collection are available to participating libraries nationwide.
Through this contest, libraries are helping indie authors get the recognition they deserve for writing great books.
