Seniors can access a variety of free services including mobile library visits, homebound delivery, tax preparation and more.

Book a Librarian

We are available to visit assisted living facilities and nursing homes within the St. Louis County Library District for a free 30-60 minute session to help residents learn how to use the library’s eMedia/digital services. Residents will need a valid library card, a compatible device and access to an internet connection. 

Homebound Service

Receive library materials including books in regular or large print, magazines, DVDs or CDs by mail free of charge for those who are confined to home due to illness, disability or advanced age is available. Applicants must live in the St. Louis County Library District and is only available to individuals not currently served by a mobile senior van unit. 

Mobile Services

Residents at senior living communities within the St. Louis County Library District can receive library materials during regularly scheduled visits via library vans. Thousands of items are available such as the latest fiction, classics, cookbooks, music and movies. Specific items can be requested for delivery.

Book Discussion Kits

Book Discussion Kits are available to help facilitate book discussion groups at senior living facilities. Included in the kits are multiple copies of the book, a readers guide, and if available CDbooks and large print books. Kits can be picked up at any branch or delivered to a facility with our Senior Van service. For more information, call 314-994-3300.
