St. Louis County Library is celebrating Welcoming Week September 8-17 with a variety of programs for all ages. Welcoming Week is an annual campaign that celebrates the work in communities to become welcoming places for all, including immigrants and refugees.

Free Narcan Kits
Free Narcan kits are available at 5 SLCL branches. The kits will be available at all SLCL locations by the end of 2023.

St. Louis County Library and St. Louis County Department of Public Health announced that Narcan kits are currently available at 5 SLCL branches and will be expanded to all 20 library locations by the end of 2023.

SLCL Authors @ the J Presents Bestselling Western Suspense Author Craig Johnson
The St. Louis County Library Foundation, Left Bank Books and the JCC of St. Louis are pleased to host an SLCL Authors @ the J event with Bestselling Western Suspense Writer Craig Johnson, author of “The Longmire Defense.” The event will take place on Tuesday, September 12 at 7:00 p.m. at p.m. at the JCC’s Staenberg Family Center – Mirowitz Performing Arts Center, 2 Millstone Campus Drive, St. Louis, MO 63146. The program is free and open to the public. Books will be available for purchase at the event from Left Bank Books.

Hip Hop Block Party
Celebrate the 50th anniversary of hip hop on Friday, September 1 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at Bangert Park in Florissant. The event will include food trucks, a live DJ, a graffiti wall and other games and activities in Bangert Park.
